The Institute of Clinical Physiology (IFC) is the largest biomedical institute of the Italian National Research Council (CNR), the main public research institution in Italy. CNR-IFC has consolidated its role as a center for basic, clinical, epidemiological and technological research, conducted with the contribution in full interaction of doctors, biologists, chemists, physicists, engineers, computer scientists and mathematicians: this multidisciplinary approach is the key element of a strategy that promotes collaborations in a flexible and problem-solving way. CNR-IFC has a staff of over 300 research actors mainly in Pisa headquarters, but also in the other sites of Milan, Lecce, Rome, Siena, Massa and Reggio Calabria.
