IMEC is an independent research center in nanoelectronics and digital technology, which is headquartered in Leuven (Belgium) with distributed R&D groups around the world, and a widely acclaimed leadership in microchip technology and a profound software and ICT expertise that creates innovation in various application domains (e.g., healthcare, smart cities and mobility, logistics and manufacturing, and energy).

In the TrialsNet project, IMEC is working on the 5G and beyond network innovation aspects such as zero-touch service management and design of Edge Network Application framework for 5G and beyond vertical applications, which are applied and validated in the context of Smart Traffic Management use case. Therefore, IMEC is creating network and application enablers for city resilience by: i) defining technical requirements, ii) providing platform and network design, iii) use case deployment and testing, and iv) dissemination and standardization impact.
